XIMB financial conclave to be held in Mumbai on Aug 16

Finomics 2015 will focus on India as an investment destination and composition of company boards

X-Fin, the finance association of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, conducts an annual finance summit called ‘Finomics’, every year. The summit focuses on situations in the current financial market and links them to the various challenges that may arise in the future. The theme for the 2014 summit was “Impact of regulations and politics on Indian financial markets”.

For the first time, this year ‘Finomics’ is going national as it is being held in Mumbai — the finance capital of India. The conclave will be held on August 16, from 10 am to 5 pm, at The Mirador, in Andheri East.

The issues lined up for discussion this year are: “India: an Investment Destination” and “Impact of board composition on the financial performance of a firm”. India has become the most attractive investment destination in the world after it was ranked first among 110 countries in a ranking of destinations for attractiveness to foreign investors.

The speakers this year will be: Anup Bagchi, Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Securities Ltd; Debabrat Mishra, Director of Hay Group; Suresh Raina, Managing Partner of Hunt Partners-India; Joseph Hadrian Bosco, Director of Karamel Knowledge Ventures; Prasanth Prabhakaran, Executive Director and President- Retail Broking in India Infoline Ltd, and Sanjay Tripathy, Senior Executive Vice-President, Marketing, Product, Digital and E-Commerce, and member of the Executive Management Committee at HDFC Life.

The XFin team is actively working on the event to ensure that the audience gets to witness an interesting finance conclave.

The success of previous versions of the conclave indicates that this edition too will be informative and useful for those who participate in Finomics.
