XLRI has joined hands with an online interactive education company — Talentedge — to offer a four-month e-MDP (management development programme) in corporate finance for business managers. The registration for the course is open till July 30.
The course curriculum is spread across 15 weeks to provide professionals the convenience of studying part time . The course consists of nine integrated modules and the lectures will be delivered by experienced faculty from XLRI and other industry experts through live interactive online sessions on Talentedge’s ‘direct to device’ solution that enables anywhere, any place learning on a broadband connection of 512 kbps. All enrolled students will be provided access to the Cloud campus that will allow them to access other learning aids, reference materials, case studies and assignments.
“In technical collaboration with Talentedge, we have launched our first programme in Corporate Finance for business managers and look forward to a long term association with them,” said Ashis K Pani, Associate Dean, VIL programmes at XLRI in a press statement.
The course fee for the programme is Rs 60,000 (including the application fees of Rs 15,000 and programme fees of Rs 45,000) and is payable over two instalments.
The course components will be introduction to financial statements and their analysis, risk, return and time value of money, cost of capital and business funding instruments, financial evaluation of projects, management of working capital, business valuation and valuation drivers, generating and utilizing cost-based information for decision making, the economic environment of business and using spreadsheets to aid financial decision making.
