The young entrepreneurs must focus on innovation in order to compete, according to Vijay Kumar Saraswat, Member, NITI Aayog.
He was delivering a special lecture on ‘Innovation for Sustainable Growth’ at the ICFAI University campus at Shankarpally near Hyderabad on November 12.
The students must concentrate on design and make in India, he said adding that challenges faced in the process of innovation could be overcome by sustained effort.
“We have to restrict our consumption levels and eliminate waste to balance the rapid growth against the limited resources. At the same time we have to be prepared to meet the needs of the rising challenges of the future,” the scientist said, according to a release.
