BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute introduces public policy programme

The BA programme bridges the gap between a degree and the extra time taken for civil services preparation

BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology has announced the introduction of the B A Public Policy programme.It is oriented towards students who want to obtain a degree as well as prepare for the civil services examination. It offers a new way for students who have finished their schooling to start their preparation in becoming a bureaucrat. The BA Public Policy programme aims to bridge the gap between a degree and the extra time taken to prepare for the civil services examination.

“Becoming an IAS officer is the dream of many a young Indian, and the sooner you make it, the more years you will have in the service of our nation. This programme is so beautifully crafted, adhering to the demands of UPSC,” said Dr Santhosh Babu, IAS, on learning of the course. “In order to pursue this, BA (Public Policy) is a natural choice for you. If you have a dream of becoming an IAS officer at 22 years of age, then your preparation should start immediately after Class 12.”

Salient features

Mentoring by serving and retired IAS/IPS/IFS officers as well as officers from the federal, state and local governments helps the students share the same perspective as that of a seasoned civil servant. The inclusion of NCC in the curriculum will serve to fan the flames of patriotism as well as inculcate discipline in the students that will help them further their ambitions.

The BA Public Policy programme aims to provide students with the transformative opportunity to gain academic knowledge and the analytical skills that are the hallmark of every public servant.
