The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) will set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for collaboration in seven multi-disciplinary areas. DRDO Chairman Samir V Kamat and IITH Director signed a memorandum of understanding recently at the DefExpo22 held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The CoE will work on areas such as ultra-high-temperature materials for hypersonic vehicles; artificial intelligence for missile and missile defence; technologies for space application; adaptive imaging and image processing; and additive manufacturing, an IITH spokesperson said.
