Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has, for the first time, launched four new programmes in the online mode. The 12-month PGCP (Post-graduate certificate programme) and 24-month MSc programmes will focus on the theoretical and practical functioning of the domains.

The four programmes — MSc in data science, MSc in business analytics, PGCP in business analytics, and PGCP in logistics and supply chain — are designed for graduates and professionals aspiring to make a mark for themselves in the fast-growing and dynamic world, while also ensuring continuity in their work and other pursuits, a press release from the institute, said.

Data-driven courses

The programmes in business analytics will train learners to provide accurate and data-driven answers to customers and help solve organisational problems, and create business strategies using data. The MSc in data science programme with a blend of machine learning, big data analytics, and statistics, will prepare students and pros for analytical and leadership roles in various sectors.

The logistics and supply chain management programme is designed to produce skilled pros who can assist organisations in improving their operational efficiency.

Lt Gen MD Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, said: “Our online programmes are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. MAHE is committed to providing inclusive and equitable quality online education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.”

Some of the benefits that the students and working professionals can expect from these programmes are strong academic support, self-paced learning, industry-oriented curriculum, and inter-disciplinary expertise, said the press release. Both Indian and international students, who comply with the stipulated eligibility criteria, can apply for these courses.
