NIT AP ties up with Scarlet, BITSILICA, InstaSine Power Tech

To collaborate on mobile sat comm, semiconductor, power quality research

The National Institute of Technology (NIT Andhra Pradesh) will collaborate with industry partners in research in areas like mobile satellite communications, semiconductor design, and power quality in renewable technology.

The institute signed agreements with Scarlet Industries, BITSILICA and InstaSine Power Technologies Private Limited to work jointly in areas that are of mutual interest.

“One of the key areas of the collaboration with SCARLET is on creating secure communications and preventing any unauthorised access. We will work with InstaSine and BITSILICA in the areas of power quality enhancement in renewable energy systems and semiconductor design respectively,” C S P Rao, Director of NIT AP, has said.

The three industry partners will offer free internships for NIT AP students and will give MTech and PhD students to their research and development facilities.

“The companies would consider recruiting final year BTech students of the institute from the academic year 2021-22,” he said. “These MoUs will facilitate exchange of personnel, researchers and industry internships for the students at the institute,” Sankar Peddapati, Associate Dean (Research and Consultancy) of NIT (AP) said.
