New Apple patent could block iPhone recording at concerts

Taking videos at concerts might become impossible

Enjoyed your last concert or exhibition? Basked in the thrill of recording a video or your favourite artist? Enjoyed filming a sequence on of your favourite part of the show on Snapchat, which you stood in line for hours to see? What if this would not be possible anymore?

Earlier in 2011, Apple had filed a patent for a technology that could disable phones’ cameras at specific public events. This would be done by tracking and interpreting infrared signals. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) finally granted Apple this patent.
