Popstar Taylor Swift gave Apple Music the launch they couldn't have even dreamt of by writing them an open letter in which she said she wouldn't allow Apple to stream her music on their platform. Less than a day later, Apple and Swift had reached an agreement - Swift got her way. This is significant in light of the fact that Swift had removed all her songs from online music streaming service Spotify only a few weeks earlier.
Such is the competition between Apple Music and Spotify, and it only set to escalate. While both the services have almost identical catalogues, Apple has exclusive rights to some artists' music - such as, Taylor Swift. According to an article on Billboard.com , Apple Music wants to hit 100 Million Subscribers soon.
