Similar to a child wanting to copy its older siblings, microblogging platform tumblr has decided to join in the excitement with live video as well!
The social networking website has confirmed the news of its launching of a live broadcast feature; this could pose competition for other social media platforms. However at the moment, the site still remains a plethora of colourful advertisements and cryptic promises.
It does not come as a shock that tumblr is also joining the live broadcast zone, though. It does, however, make the arena more crowded, with rival Facebook and a few others. Nevertheless, tumblr has a very specific audience and an article in Gizmodo discusses this new development.
