Audi unveils lightweight Q7 priced up to ₹77.5 lakh

German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the latest variant of its premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) Q7 in India, which is lighter by up to 325 kg than its predecessor.

The Q7 Premium Plus is priced at ₹72 lakh and Q7 Technology is priced at ₹77.5 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai and New Delhi), the company said in a statement.

“India is a land of quattro, and SUVs owing to their high degree of functionality are the preferred choice of mobility here.

“The all-new Audi Q7 encapsulates the cutting-edge technology that is at the very heart of the Audi brand. It is an efficient and sporty superlative offering, with even better dynamics than its predecessor,” said Joe King, Head, Audi India.

“Lightweight yet extremely powerful, the class-defining SUV offers exceptional fuel efficiency,” he added.

The new Q7 comes with an all-new chassis made up of multi-material body, with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, a three-litre diesel engine that churns out 249 hp (183 kW) of power and 600 Nm of torque.

The new Q7, which can race to 100 kmph from 0 in 7.1 seconds, and provides a mileage of 14.75 km per litre, a 22 per cent improvement from the previous version.

The all-new Q7 comes with the daytime running lights and electrically folding third row seats.
