Microsoft CEO interacted with business leaders and start-ups at IIIT campus in Hyderabad

When Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella visits his hometown, it is nothing short of a celebration for the Hyderabadis; especially the start-ups folks who want to make a mark in the digital world.

Excitement at the T-Hub at IIIT (H) was palpable when the Microsoft CEO visited the incubator. A visibly impressed Satya Nadella shared with those gathered, that the spirit of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs are what drive him wherever he goes across the world.

While he spoke only for a brief time, he left the crowd of 300 techies with a lot to chew on. Here are some thoughts he shared with the techies.

Don’t lose out on the concept that drives you.

Don’t lose out on capability you need to build and chase after that concept.

Be persistent .

Never fake good culture. The more you live it (good culture), the more sustainable your business approach becomes.

It’s not about the failures — it’s about learning from them . Failure in itself can’t be celebrated unless you learn from it. When I think about my career, my successes are built on the learnings from failures.

We are here to be a part of your success. We are not in the equity game, as we support start-ups through our accelerators.

I’m here to be inspired by your dreams.

Satya Nadella also addressed the much talked about White Space technology, emphasising on the importance of last mile connectivity. “One of the most important things today is connectivity. There needs to be a market-based solution to tap this, and a local entrepreneur, who goes out and creates that last mile connectivity which offers affordable solutions,” said Satya.
