Fashion tech start-up Zapyle raises $1 m in seed funding

Fashion tech start-up Zapyle has raised $1 million in seed funding from Real Estate and Investment companies in Bengaluru to augment its operations.

The start-up offers a combination of pre-owned fast fashion, premium and luxury fashion brands at prices ranging from ₹800 up to ₹1 lakh and is targeted at millennial in the 18-30 age profile.

The Zapyle mobile app on iOS and Android went live on August 15 with the closets of the country’s top 30 fashion bloggers, TV actresses and models for shoppers to discover and buy their favourite brands including Valentino, Zara, Ted baker, Tory Burch, Topshop, Mango, Vera Moda, AND, Chanel, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Chemistry and many more.

“The seed funding will see us through for the next 10 months. We will be using it to hire, acquire customers and add new features in our app such as personalisation by adding recommendation filters,” Rashi Menda, founder and CEO, Zapyle, told BusinessLine . Transactions on Zapyle will be enabled by this month-end, once the payment gateway integration is completed, added Menda. Zapyle also offers the closets of 82 registered sellers, each of who have 10-50 fashion products to sell.
