Mohit Gupta from Karnal tops Chartered Accountants Final Exam

He scored 587 out of 800. Prashant, who hails from Delhi, came second after securing 571

Karnal’s Mohit Gupta topped the Chartered Accountants Final Examination 2017, the results of which were announced on Wednesday. Mohit scored 587 out of 800. The second position was taken by Prashant from Delhi, who secured 571. Aditya Mittal, who also hails from New Delhi and secured 565, came third.

Since December 1949, the Chartered Accountancy Examination takes place twice a year — in May or June and in November or December.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results after holding the Chartered Accountants Final Examination, which took place in November 2017 and the Common Proficiency Test (CPT), which was held in December 2017.

As many as 1,28,853 students were admitted for the final exam, that was conducted in 346 centres around the globe.

Nilesh S Vikamsey, President of ICAI, said, “I congratulate all successful candidates for their hard work and results. Those who could not qualify despite their hard work, plan and study efficiently and work harder, which will eventually help you achieve success."
