BLoC Boardroom Challenge: Regional winners speak

At the finale on October 14 teams will compete to win the BusinessLine CXO Title of the Year

The regional rounds of the third edition of the BLoC Boardroom Challenge has concluded. Eight finalists will face off in the finals in Chennai on October 14. The winners of the Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune roundsspoke to BL on Campus  on what made them ace the semi-finals and how they came up with a sound gameplan to solve the case presented to them. In this video, the winning teams of the Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi rounds shared their experience of taking part in the Challenge. 

Trushna Atre, student of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Bengaluru, said, “The case was quite challenging, a lot to do with numbers, but at the end, burning the midnight oil, playing around with permutations and combinations of different numbers, it all paid off.” All the participants say that ‘reading the case thoroughly’ was the key. 

Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurgaon, IMI Kolkata, SIBM Pune, SPJIMR Mumbai, CUSAT Kochi, MOP Vaishnav College Chennai, St Joseph’s Institute of Management Bangalore and ICBM Hyderabad hosted the regional semi-finals across the eight cities.

The final eight teams are from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon (from Delhi); IIM Ranchi (Kolkata); SIBM (Pune); SPJIMR (Mumbai); SMS-CUSAT (Kochi); LIBA (Chennai); SIBM (Bengaluru) and IIM Rohtak (Hyderabad).
