IFMR 2019 toppers on campus life and career paths

Award winners speak on their experience at college and how it shaped them

The annual convocation of the Institute for Financial Management and Research Graduate School of Business (IFMR GSB), Krea University was held at its Sri City campus on April 27.

Kabayayan Roy received the CM Kothari medal for meritorious performance. Roy, who has received a job offer from Ernst & Young, said, “I look forward to pursue a career in financial risk management domain. With regard to my future goal, I want to pursue MS.” Prabhjot Kaur was awarded the A Sivasailam medal, for securing the second position. Sneh Jain was awarded the HT Parekh medal for being the best all-rounder. Jain said, “The college has not only help me build technical knowledge but helped me shape my personality as well.” Jain got placed in JP Morgan as a credit risk analyst.

A total of 239 students graduated this year and were also placed with an average CTC of ₹8.70 lakh. Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (RECL), a navratna PSU, offered the highest CTC of ₹18.8 lakh to two students. Five Ph.D students also submitted their thesis to the University of Madras.
