The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has successfully completed 100 per cent placements for its flagship ‘PGDM (Post Graduation Diploma in Management) - General’ batch of 2020-22 with an average salary of ₹12.5 lakh per annum. The highest package this year was ₹25.6 lakh per annum.
As many as 392 students were eligible for placements this year. Of them. four students opted out to endeavour on their own. Following this, a total of 388 students were placed across 101 companies. As many as 69 students were offered pre-placement through summer internships with an average package of ₹13 lakh per annum. The highest pre-placement offer package was ₹25 lakh per annum.
PGDM-BKFS
TAPMI has also successfully placed 100 per cent of students in its specialist ‘PGDM - Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BKFS)’ programme with the highest salary of ₹32.2 lakh per annum. The average salary of PGDM - BKFS was ₹12.6 lakh per annum.
Marketing
The average salary for students in ‘PGDM - Marketing’ was ₹11.6 lakh per annum. The highest salary offered in PGDM - Marketing this year was ₹18 lakh per annum.
HRM
The average salary was ₹12.1 lakh per annum for students of ‘PGDM - Human Resource Management (HRM)’ programme, and the highest package this year was ₹23.6 lakh per annum.
IT (information technology) and analytics sector was the largest recruiter with 36 per cent of placements. This was followed by consulting at 34 per cent and BFSI at 23 per cent.
Some of the key recruiters included Accenture, Airtel, Berger, Brillio, Capgemini, Crisil, Citigroup, Cognizant, Deloitte, EY India, Gartner, GoDigit, Goldman Sachs, HCL, KPMG, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life, HP, ICICI Bank, Infosys, ITC, JP Morgan Chase, Lowe's India, PWC, PayTM, Nestle, Titan, TVS, Virtusa, TATA Capital, and Wells Fargo.
Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of TAPMI, said that TAPMI’s strong placement is an outcome of its industry-relevant curriculum that focuses on imparting skills and competencies to contend with challenges and opportunities in today’s complex environment. “This has been an outstanding placement and internship season for us.
