9 secure 100 percentile in CAT 2021

Of which, all are males and seven are engineers.

The Common Admission Test (CAT), the premier test for being shortlisted to the IIMs and other top B-schools, continues to be male-dominated and by engineers. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) on Monday declared the results of CAT 2021. Nine candidates who have scored overall 100 percentile are all male and seven of them are engineers. Those who secured 100 percentile are from Haryana (1), Telangana (1), West Bengal (1), Uttar Pradesh (2) and Maharashtra (4).

The 19 candidates who got 99.99 percentile are also all male, and 17 of them are engineers as well. On November 28, 2021, 1.92 lakh candidates took the test which was conducted across 438 test centres spread across 156 cities in three shifts. Of the 1.92 lakh test-takers, 65 per cent were male, and 35 per cent were female, and two candidates were transgender.

Candidates can visit iimcat.ac.in to download their official CAT 2021 scorecards. 88 non-IIM institutions will also use CAT 2021 scores this year for admission into their management programmes.
