BITS Pilani to host TechFest

APOGEE is one of the most popular tech fests across campuses in the country

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is all set to kick start its technical festival – APOGEE 2015. The techfest has become one of the most popular campus fests in the country since its inception in 1983, and now holds a 9001:2008 ISO certification.

The 32nd edition of APOGEE will be declared open on March 25. The festival will have various projects and paper presentations with participation of over five hundred science and engineering students from across the country. The other categories include automation, communication and network systems, design appliances, economic modelling and finance. Paper presentation will encompass the pure sciences.

A large number of workshops on robotics, automobile engines, quadcopter, web development, cloud computing, animation, ethical hacking and financial markets will also be organised.

To add a fun dimension to the techfest, a number of demonstrations of interesting phenomena involving liquid Nitrogen, cymatics, Do Re Mi stairs and virtual air hockey are being set up. Roy Zaltsman, renowned psychological entertainer will also perform his telekinesis, precognition and mentalism voodoo during the event.
