ICFAI Business School wins award for China-focused case

Bags top slot in 2019 Global Contest organised by China Europe International Business School

The ICFAI Business School (IBS) case Chow Tai Fook: A Chinese Jewellery Giant Changing Tactics , written by V Namratha Prasad and Koti Vinod Babu, has won the ‘Nominated Case Award’ at the prestigious 2019 Global Contest for the Best China-Focused Cases organised by CEIBS (China Europe International Business School).

The case is about the world’s largest publicly traded jewellery chain, China-based Chow Tai Fook’s change in tactics in response to the changing economic conditions in China.

The 2019 contest received a total of 254 cases by 467 authors from 85 colleges and institutions in China and around the world. Debapratim Purkayastha, Director, IBS Case Research Centre, said: “IBS is globally renowned for its award-winning and high quality cases, which are taught at classrooms across the globe. As classes shift online due to Covid-19 pandemic, institutions can choose from more than 6,000 high quality cases in our repository to support distance learning.”
