IIHMR claims complete placement for its hospital, health mgmt students

The Indian Institute of Health Management Research has claimed to achieve complete placement for its 360 hospital and health management students from its four campuses, including Bengaluru, Kolkata and Jaipur.

Biranchi N Jena, director of health care management and the research institute's Bengaluru campus, said the current batch of students would get their degrees in June. Already, corporate and private hospitals and healthcare institutions have picked up the entire batch.

"This is to indicate the current and projected demand for management professionals in the healthcare segment," he told mediapersons here today.

The average salary offered by the participating hospitals in the last placement was Rs. 5 lakh per annum, while one corporate hospital picked up a student for an annual package of Rs. 12 lakh.

The hospitals that participated in the campus placements include Apollo, Fortis, Asian Heart Institute, and Manipal Clinics.
