The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Hyderabad has announced an M.Tech. programme in Data Science, meant exclusively for executives and industry professionals, scheduled to begin in August. The programme intends to address the ever-growing phenomenon of ‘big data’ in industries such as healthcare, insurance, e-commerce, transport, government, banking, telecommunications and social media. It is designed to give candidates the flexibility to complete the programme in two to four years.
The programme will provide participants the knowledge and essential skills needed to address the challenges of data-intensive decision-making environments. This is a case study-based course that will help participants get extensive hands-on training.
