Over 57 per cent of Indian middle-classes with a household income of ₹3-10 lakh is inclined to spend on overseas education, shows Leap-IpsosStrategy3 Study Abroad Outlook Report. The respondents cited factors such as superior education and lifestyle, global career opportunities, and better salaries as top reasons for pursuing a degree abroad. The study also shows that over 62 per cent rely on education loans, followed by scholarships at 53 per cent. 

Close to 83 per cent of students believe an overseas degree will enhance their prospects of securing better job opportunities and provide an edge over peer competition and talent pool, according to the study.
