MICA announces FDP on business research

Programme focused on Indian companies

MICA will be organising a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Business Research and Analytics' from June 15 to 19 at its campus in Ahmedabad. Led by MICA faculty Rasananda Panda and Rohit Trivedi, the FDP will provide hands-on experience to the participants, equipping them to conduct basic as well as advanced management research with relevance to Indian companies. The FDP is designed to expose participants to research problems, application of appropriate research design and data generation skills, data processing and statistical analysis at basic and advanced levels. Application of concepts and frameworks will be through case analysis, discussions, software training, exercises and lectures.

At the advanced level, the participants will study econometrics, concept of heteroscedasticity, structural equation modelling, and so on. Though other methods like qualitative research will also be covered, the primary focus will be on survey research.

The programme syllabus includes topics such as research process and research design, sampling theory, hypothesis formulation and testing techniques, multivariate analysis, econometrics and its applications, and SPSS and AMO in data analysis.
