TAPMI achieves 100 per cent placements

The highest package this year for the PGDM programme was ₹25 lakh per annum

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has achieved 100 per cent placements in its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) — General programme for the batch of 2019-21 with an average salary of ₹11.1 lakh. The highest package this year was ₹25 lakh per annum.

As many as 338 students were eligible for placements this year. Of them, six students opted out to endeavour on their own. Following this, a total of 332 students were placed across 139 companies. As many as 65 students were offered pre-placement through summer internships with an average package of ₹12.6 lakh. Of them, 62 students accepted the offer.

The BFSI sector was the largest recruiter (36 per cent) followed by IT, analytics and e-commerce (33 per cent), and consulting (21 per cent).

Complex environment

Key recruiters included Lowe's India, BYJU's, Bajaj Finserv, Salesforce, Deloitte USI, TITAN Company Limited, Larsen and Toubro Limited, HP Inc., Nestlé India Ltd, Brillio, ITC, Capgemini, GEP Worldwide, JP Morgan Services India Pvt Ltd, Virtusa Polaris, EY India, Citibank, Grant Thornton, Accenture, Airtel Payments Bank, CRISIL, Dell Technologies, Decathlon, Godrej & Boyce, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, KPMG, Michael Page, Oracle, PhonePe, Mindtree, Lenskart, Teamlease, TVS Motors, Wells Fargo, SBI Capital Markets Ltd, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, Sequel Logistics, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, and Tresvista Financial Services Ltd.

TAPMI has also placed 100 per cent students in its specialist PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BKFS) and PGDM-Marketing programmes. The average salary of the PGDM-BKFS programme is ₹10.3 lakh. The average salary of the PGDM-Marketing is ₹10.0 lakh. A press statement by TAPMI said that the placements for the specialist PGDM-HR are on track with 80 per cent of the batch already placed.
