IIITH announces 36-week course in ML

The course is most useful to pre-final and final-year undergraduate engineering students.

iHub-Data at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) has called for applications from undergraduate engineering students across the country for its 36-week foundation course on Modern Machine Learning. The course will commence in January 2022.

“The programme is targeted at pre-final and final year undergraduate engineering students who are looking to sharpen their practical skills in machine learning,” an IIIT-H spokesperson said. “The course will help them use the skills in application domains like image processing, computer vision, robotics, data mining and natural language processing,” he said.

Interactive online sessions would be delivered by senior IIIT-H faculty members C V Jawahar, Anoop M Namboodiri and Ravi Kiran S. The course offers practical hands-on sessions with experienced mentors. A certificate of achievement from IIIT Hyderabad would be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

“While the course is open to all engineering students across India, it would be most beneficial for pre-final and final-year undergraduate engineering students from the streams of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other allied branches,” he said.

The students registered for the programme would have to undergo a preparatory module. The final selection of students would be based on student performance during the preparatory module. “The preparatory module would be delivered and evaluated by Anoop M Namboodiri (IIIT Hyderabad) and C K Raju (iHub-Data),” he said. The course is priced at ₹10,000 inclusive of all taxes. The last date for submitting applications is December 25.
