Mahindra University to offer MTech in five new streams

Mahindra University Hyderabad

École Centrale School of Engineering at Mahindra University (MU) has announced five new interdisciplinary MTech programmes in computer science, data science and AI, embedded systems and VLSI, systems engineering and power electronics. The college already offers MTech in Autonomous Electric Vehicles and Computer-Aided Structural Engineering (CASE).

“The course structure is targeted towards providing an interdisciplinary integration of engineering from systems understanding and management and application to life cycle management,” Yajulu Medury, Vice-Chancellor of Mahindra University, has said.

“Over the past few years, the job market in the country has experienced a tectonic shift in terms of required tech talent. Owing to the increased digitalisation and the resulting upswing in demand for premium tech talent, the country is projected to face a shortage of 14-19 lakh tech professionals by 2026,” he said.

“The idea behind launching the new MTech programmes is to bridge this talent demand-supply gap by equipping them with superlative industry-ready skills,” he said.
