Shiv Nadar partners with NMF to enhance student training

Shiv Nadar University Delhi NCR is collaborating with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) to establish a programme to facilitate scholarly cooperation and exchange, enhance comprehensive and interdisciplinary training for students and develop an innovative association of maritime strategy.

Speaking on the partnership, Pradeep Chauhan, Director General, NMF, said, “This partnership between SHSS and NMF will advance our commitment to heighten maritime awareness amongst India’s policymakers, intellectual echelons, and civil society at large.”

The MoU was signed between Shiv Nadar University’s Dean of Research and Partnerships, Suneet Tuli, signed the MoU with Chauhan.

Areas of cooperation

The potential areas of cooperation between the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) at Shiv Nadar University and the NMF will include sharing of resources, faculty exchanges, and student opportunities for internship and research; particularly pertaining to the Department of International Relations and Governance Studies.

Ananya Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University, said, “The ever-changing global environment has increased emphasis on the research and creation of new knowledge,” and added that she looks forward to successful collaborations in areas of research, teaching and learning.

The NMF is India’s first maritime think-tank that conducts independent and policy-driven research on issues related to maritime security and affairs. The two institutions share a commonality in their focus on research and aim for contributing to nation-building.
