Carbon dioxide may soon be used to make fuel

The artificial leaf mimics the process of photosynthesis that occurs naturally in plants

Excess carbon dioxide is one of the main reasons for global warming and we are literally sinking because of it. But people are trying to come up with innovative ways to control the amount of CO2 that is released.

As part of a new study from Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Illinois at Chicago, researchers have developed an artificial leaf that uses solar power to transform CO2 into a fuel source. In an article in Treehugger , the history of carbon transformation is detailed. Click here to read more.
