The Marvel Cinematic Universe is attempting to expand its characters' diversity through their latest superhero: Ms Marvel or Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Muslim girl from New Jersey. According to this article in Vice , Kamala was originally the female counterpart to Captain Marvel. Now she might have a stronger role to play in the MCU.
