There are three broad digital skills required. First, analytical skills used to interpret data, understand what marketing channels are working, what communication routes are resonating with users, and why. Second is creative storytelling skills. This allows you to craft the right creative copy and cohesive communication that can be tested for the brand. Lastly, understanding key platforms — especially Google and Facebook. Each platform has its own nuances. With lots of innovation happening on the platforms, the focus has shifted towards understanding the audience and crafting/personalising the right creative to the right users.
