Caitlyn Jenner makes first public appearance

Formerly known as Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn comes out as a transwoman

Former Olympian and track athlete Caitlyn Jenner, formely known as Bruce Jenner, made her post-transition debut on the latest cover of Vanity Fair magazine, with the caption “Call Me Caitlyn”. She now identifies as female, and wishes to be addressed with female pronouns.

Jenner, who was married to television personality Kris Kardashian until earlier this year, underwent several months of hormone replacement therapy, and stated that she had been cross-dressing for many years. She started her physical transition back in the 1980s, but stopped after marrying Kardashian. While she has only undergone some amount of cosmetic surgery, she is considering full gender reassignment surgery sometime in the future.
