Chinese cab-hailing app introduces personal chauffer service

While this isn’t prevalent much in Western countries, chauffeurs are quite in demand in China

Remember that company that bought more than 90 per cent of China’s taxi-hailing app market a few months ago? The move was aimed at competing with Ubver, which had been going above and beyond to make sure that it dominated the Chinese market.

Didi Kuaidi, the company in question, may have finally one-upped China in terms of market share by introducing a personal chauffeur service. This service solves the problem of needed transportation and having a means of transport but not knowing how to drive it. China’s population is ageing, which means most will probably not be allowed to drive, given the age. This is where the chauffeur service comes in, reports TechCrunch.
