WannaCry 1.0 and 2.0 malware authors have cashed in their Bitcoin cryptocurrency and converted it to the more anonymous and harder to track cryptocurrency Monero. According to researchers and tracking companies, the authors of both attacks might be the same but there's no way to tell for sure.
