Long wait ends for Apple Music streaming

Service launched at Worldwide Developers Meet

Apple has launched its much speculated music streaming service - Apple Music. The service was launched during the Apple Worldwide Developers Meet in California, according to a report published in Complex.com.

Apple is considered a major player in the music streaming domain with Spotify, which recently added new features and exclusive content from ESPN, BBC, and Comedy Central.

The service looks similar to the existing interface on the iPhone, but offers full streaming of each song, said the report.

Apart from Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Apple has roped in Zane Lowe, who has worked with BBC Radio One earlier, for a role in streaming service.

Apple Music, according to the Complex.com report, is a platform for fans to interact with their favorite artists. The complete service will offer full streaming from all the artists on iTunes; and a 24/7 radio - 'Beats One Radio'. The 'Connect' feature will allow the artists to share videos and music with fans.

Apple Music will officially launch on 30 June with a free three-month subscription for users who initially sign up. Once, the free trial ends, the users will be charged $9.99 each month for the subscription, reported Complex.com

The streaming service can be accessed from all iOS devices, the report said.
