MH370: Australia not to expand search area

Australian authorities have released a statement saying that the area of search will not be expanded

It seems the MH370 saga might be nearing its end. Due to lack of any new evidence, Australian authorities have announced that the search for the midding Malaysian Airlines plane will not be expanded further than the current area.

It is worth mentioning here that the Mailayian Airlines flight MH370 disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board on March 8, 2014. A little less than a year later Australia, along with a couple of other countries announced that the search area would be doubled. Since then, no new evidence has been discovered that could point toward the reason for the disappearance of the plane.

Now, more than a year later, the search for the missing aircraft is proving to be fruitless with no new credible information turning up. In January, Malaysian authorities declared all 239 people onboard presumed dead, with many criticising Malaysia's handling of the situation.

Australian authorities released a statement saying, "In the absence of credible new information that leads to the identification of a specific location of the aircraft, governments have agreed that there will be no further expansion of the search area." Click here to read more about this.
