Prepare to feed more — your Instagram feed, we mean. According to a report on Mashable, the photo-sharing site is all set to increase the picture resolution.
The website reported that a spokesperson from the photo-sharing platmorm, had confirmed that they were “rolling out 1080 x 1080 resolution pictures across iOS and Android.” Earlier, the resolutions were 640 x 640.

More resolution obviously has more advantages. A user can see more detail. Cropping an image is easier.
Today, since most mobile devices have screens that span six inches and resolutions that surpass full-size televisions, have a 640 x 640 resolution kind of killed the fun of looking at otherwise gorgeous photographs.
