You’ve heard of hailing a cab online. But now, you also book a boat! Ride-hailing application company Uber announced a boat service called UberBOAT in Istanbul. According to a report in Mashable, the service will allow passengers to hail a speedboat to cross the Bosphorus river, that divides Asian and European sides of Istanbul.
Different option
The service will appear as a different option that can be selected on the main Uber app, and is operated by a Turkish company, Navette, rather than individual boat owners.
Each speedboat can hold six to eight people, the website added. Prices for the ride will range from $18 to $161, Uber estimates.
