People’s trust in business, media, government, and NGOs has declined

The survey shows that people are scared of losing their jobs because of globalisation

For 17 years the Edelman Trust Barometer has surveyed tens of thousands of people across dozens of countries about their level of trust in business, media, government, and NGOs. This year was the first time the study found a decline in trust across all four of these institutions, writes Matthew Harrington, the global chief operating officer of Edelman, in this article in Harvard Business Review .

The survey shows that the credibility of CEOs also saw a sharp drop, while trust in academics has increased. This news is particularly troubling for businesses as people always trusted them. Checkout the article for more details.
