Rafael Benitez to be Real madrid's new manager

Former Liverpool and Valencia manager set to coach Real for the next three seasons

Rafael Benitez, former manager for EPL teams Liverpool and Chelsea, is going to be managing top La Liga side Real Madrid, replacing Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked last week. He won the UEFA Cup with Valencia and Champions League with Liverpool and has also managed Inter Milan.

Though Benitez started his coaching career Real's youth squad, he only gained recofgnition when he was with Valencia. His stint as manager at Chelsea was ridden with controversy, with fans not accepting him because he once managed Liverpool, because of which his spot at Chelsea was never really permanent.

Benitez is coming off a two-year stint at italian football club Napoli. To read more about this click here .
