Turkish University to adopt Harvard’s online course

Özyegin University is the first international business school to adopt the module

Harvard Business School’s online digital education initiative, HBX, has entered into an agreement with Istanbul’s Özyegin University, to enrol its MBA students in the HBX Credential of Readiness (CORe) program. This is so they learn the fundamentals of business, before entering Özyegin’s Graduate School of Business.

Three modules

The CORe program is a primer on the basics of business, comprising three modules — business analytics, economics for managers, and financial accounting. Since its launch in June 2014, CORe has enrolled over 4,100 participants from more than 85 countries.

“Harvard Business School has a history of global engagement with leading international universities. I am thrilled that Özyegin University is the first international business school to adopt CORe as part of its curriculum,” Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria said.

“The Özyegin University Graduate School of Business offers innovative and cutting-edge programs that are integrated with the realities of the business world. Our collaboration with Harvard Business School’s online digital initiative, HBX, will definitely add a new dimension to our program, enabling students to further their learning experience,” said Esra Gençtürk, Rector of Özyegin University.
