Twitter is testing its new pages, that will gather information on products and places and contain elements like tweets, images, video, and information about featured products. The page will also include a ‘buy button’ that will allow users to buy a product, book a trip, or visit a website for more information, CNBC News reported.
41 influencers
The social media platform will allow various influencers like brands and individuals, to share information about products and places. The micro-blogging site will launch around 41 of such influencers, including Disney Store and stylist Rachel Zoe, the report said.
Marketing initiative
The move is not meant for creating a revenue stream for Twitter. But it is a direct marketing initiative the social media platform is undertaking to improve brands’ ad experience. The new pages will allow these brands to get a better return on their investment, CNBC News reported.
