100% placement in TAPMI’s PGDM-BKFS programme

The highest salary offered was ₹15 lakh per annum

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has announced 100 per cent placement for the 2017-19 batch of PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BKFS) programme.

The highest salary offered was ₹15 lakh per annum as against ₹14.30 lakh offered to the 2016-18 batch. The average salary offered was ₹11.30 lakh as against ₹10.30 lakh to the 2016-18 batch. The 42 students were placed in 21 companies such as Deloitte, E&Y, Grant Thornton, Tresvista, Citi Corp, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Accenture, KPMG, Bajaj Finserve, L&T Finance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI and Goldman Sachs.

TAPMI said that the PGDM-BKFS programme focusses on ‘value creation through analysis’. The programme design is based on the MSc Finance programmes in the US, with additional inputs on business management, so as to ensure in-depth understanding of business finance decisions.

It said that the programme boasts of association with CFA International and GARP (FRM), and provides students scholarships to pursue CFA and FRM certifications. The programme involves experiential learning courses such as SMIC (student managed investment course) and Samnidhy (student management mutual fund) designed around ‘TAPMI Finance Lab’, powered by 16 Bloomberg and seven Reuters terminals. The programme includes practical training with SBI, BSE, Bloomberg and Reuters .
