808 EDP students graduate from XLRI

XLRI - Xavier School of Management recently organised its 15th graduation ceremony for the Executive Diploma Programmes. The event was held at the Tata Auditorium, XLRI campus, Jamshedpur.

Kishore Jayaraman (President, Rolls Royce, India and South Asia) was the chief guest, and other dignitaries included Fr E Abraham SJ (Director, XLRI), Ashis K Pani (Dean - Academics, XLRI), Ram Kumar Kakani (Associate Dean, VIL Programmes, XLRI), and Vishwa Ballabh (Chairperson, Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) – XLRI).

This year, 808 students, including 714 students of Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) Programmes (94 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management - Batch 27; 107 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management - Batch 28; 102 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management - Batch 29; 136 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management - Batch 19, 138 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management - Batch 20; and 137 students of Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management - Batch 21), 22 students of Executive Diploma in Human Resource Management Programme (EDHRM), 17 students of Agribusiness Management Programme (ABM) and 55 students of the 7th batch of the Post Graduate Programme for certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP CEM) received their graduating certificates and medals.

Like every year, top ranking students of the VIL Programmes were awarded XLRI Medals for Academic Excellence on the occasion. Sambit Acharya, Ataur Rahman, Bhawesh Kumar Thakur and Vishakha Chopra of PGCBM batches and Deepa Nagarajan, Dipankar Acharya, and Parul Sardana of PGCHRM batches received the medals sponsored by Unified Collaboration Services.

Mitali Kainthla of EDHRM, Gagan Bihari Jena of ABM and Ekta Agarwal of PGP-CEM received gold medals for securing the highest CQPI.

Vishwa Ballabh congratulated the graduating students: “Our Entrepreneurship Management Programme has helped students to be equipped with conceptual and operational skills required for running an entrepreneurial venture successfully. Over the years, many of our graduates have become successful entrepreneurs. We would look forward to our present and future students come forward with unique ideas and launch their own ventures.”
