Accenture, MS, HUL top summer recruiters at XLRI

The median stipend for the entire batch stood at ₹65,000 per month

Accenture Strategy, Microsoft and HUL have emerged as top summer recruiters at XLRI this year, making 13, 12, and 11 internship offers respectively to the batch of 360 students. Other top summer recruiters which offered multiple internships at the campus include Flipkart (10), ABG (9), Citibank (9), Snapdeal (9) and Vodafone (9).

The highest internship stipend offered at the B-School was ₹2.5 lakh a month. The median stipend for the entire batch (BM & HR) stood at ₹65,000 per month.

The summer recruitment drive saw 95 companies participating in the process this year, with 92 of them making offers.

As part of ‘Parivartan’ process rolled out for students willing to work with social sector organisations, organisations such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (two internships), Tata Trust (two internships), and E-Vidyaloka (two internships) participated.

Around 21 per cent of the (Business Management and HR) students were offered internships in FMCG sector, while the BFSI sector extended 14 per cent internships. Consulting domain made 13 per cent of the offers, and 12 per cent internships were offered by conglomerates. E-commerce and start-ups made eight per cent internship offers. The remaining 32 per cent students received internships in technology, media, telecom, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, power, retail, and automotive sectors.

Companies like ABG, HUL, Kellogg’s, and Godrej extended multiple international internships this year.

JP Morgan Chase offered global markets internship at XLRI and is a highest paying internship offer on campus. Avendus Capital also offered internships in front end PE Syndication and M&A advisory roles. Citibank, HSBC, Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, DBS opened up multiple roles including the markets, corporate banking, retail and HR, to name a few.

Goldman Sachs offered Investment Banking roles. Mondelez and GSK offered eight and seven internships respectively. ITC and Kellogg’s closely followed at six each.

GSK CH, Pepsi, Coca Cola recruited interns for its Supply Chain roles as well. With an average of around five offers per organisation, consulting firms like Accenture Strategy, Aon Hewitt, BCG, Cognizant, Everest Group, EY, Hay Group, KPMG, and PwC recruited interns from the XLRI campus.

Flipkart, Snapdeal, Quikr and Ola Cabs also hired interns from the campus.
