ASM introduces short-term executive programmes

Mix of online and in-person programmes are integrated with Harvard Business School online and IIMBx

ASM Group, announced its foray into executive education by announcing four short-term courses in finance, business strategy, negotiation and disruptive strategy. Prakash Bakshi, Former Chairman of Nabard, will spearhead it. The ASM Executive Education Centre will operate out of its new office in Mumbai.

Each of the four courses will have interactive online lessons, weekly assignments and five hours of in-class sessions every Saturday. The courses will be 3-8 weeks long. On successful completion, applicants will receive a certificate from ASM Group of Institutes, Harvard Business School online (HBS OL) and IIM Bangalore online (IIMBx).

Dr Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group, said, “Instead of approaching executive education as a cursory extension of our regular courses, we chose a path that requires investment and the right experts/expertise backing it. I am sure that under the able guidance of Prakash Bakshi, the foray will grow from strength to strength. The biggest advantage for those enrolling into our executive education courses is the tight integration with HBS OL and IIMBx. Our goal is to set up separate centres for executive education in major cities of India in a phased manner once the initial foundation is laid.”

Dr Prakash Bakshi, Advisor and Head — ASM’s executive education, said, “Rapid and continuous changes in the business landscape now requires executives and professionals to continuously update and up-skill themselves to meet emerging challenges as their past experience and knowledge is often found wanting. Apart from giving them the flexibility of online format, we will provide weekly in-person interactions to ensure that the participants not only fully understand the concepts and issues, but also gain the confidence to apply them in real life situations. We will be continuously updating the program design to ensure it is at par with the global standard and significantly enhances not just the learning but the career value of the enrolled applicants.”
