Average stipend up by 15% at IIM Rohtak's summer placements

A total of 63 companies participated in the summer placement process

IIM Rohtak recently concluded its summer placement process for a batch of 172 students.

The highest stipend offered for two months grew from ₹1.5 lakh in 2014 to ₹2.34 lakh in 2015. Average stipend, which also saw a rise of 15 per cent as compared to last year, stood at ₹50,370.

A total of 63 companies participated in the summer placement process. Some of the prominent recruiters include JP Morgan Chase, Arcesium, ICICI Bank, SEBI, CRISIL, Idea, Cognizant, Wipro, Maruti, JSPL, Actuate Business Consulting, Amazon, Indus Valley Partners, Dabur, Google, Hero Motocorp, Dr. Lal PathLabs, Apollo Munich, Future Generali, Metro Cash & Carry, Ratnakar Bank among others.

Various startups also offered internships in Business Development, Strategy design and execution domain.

Around 49 per cent of the batch received internship offers in marketing and sales with roles spanning across market research, services marketing, brand strategy, sales, rural marketing, B2B marketing, and advertising etc.

Finance internships were offered to 20 per cent of the batch which offered roles including risk management, investment banking, retail banking, trading, financial modeling, corporate finance, portfolio management etc. Apart from these two domains, around 30 per cent of the roles were offered in ITES, business consulting, operations and HR functions.
