Academia-industry collaboration
Varun Saxena, Founder, Bolo Indya, said, “We at Bolo Indya are working towards the vision of enabling the Bolo Indyan community to transform their social capital into financial capital, by leveraging the peer-to-peer business model, and not completely relying on brand partnerships. We are glad to have partnered with Prof Anuj Kapoor from IIMA to help us further this vision.”
“We already have 'Superstar' Bolo Indyans earning in the range of ₹60,000 to ₹70,000 on the platform, while median earnings are in the range of ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, driven by peer-to-peer commerce. We are sure that the research collaboration will help the entire content creator community to better monetise their content in the next few years, thus creating significant value for Bharat,” he added.
Anuj Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Marketing, IIM Ahmedabad said, “True breakthroughs are often the result of fresh thinking inspired by new kinds of research teams. The combined academia-industry expertise dedicated to this new effort will advance knowledge and help solve important challenges associated with content creation and dissemination.”
