CAT 2015 extends last date for registration

Students have till September 25 to register

The last date of registration for Common Admission Test 2015 has been extended to September 25 by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Registrations for the coveted test were scheduled to close on September 20 earlier.

The registrations were extended by the IIMs last year as well, owing to technical glitches.

Notorious for springing surprises in every test, CAT 2015 will be going through a major facelift in order to admit more non-engineers into the IIMs. The test will include descriptive-type questions this year, and the use of a basic calculator will be allowed during the exam.

Also, last year the test duration was 170 minutes, this year it is 180 minutes. QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions. This year CAT will be conducted in two sessions on 29 November, across 136 cities at 650 test sites.
