Consulting firms top recruiters in Cluster 1 of IIM-A internship prog

Boston Consulting Group makes 19 offers

Consulting major, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), made the highest number of offers, 19, during Cluster 1 of the summer internship placements at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). The four-cluster placement process began on October 29 and will continue till November 6.

Under the cohort-based placements, Cluster 1 of summer internship placements for the PGP class of 2017 saw 35 firms from three cohorts, namely, investment banking and markets, management consulting, and investment management, including PE and VC firms.

Besides BCG, prominent recruiters in the consulting domain included Accenture Strategy, A T Kearney, Bain & Co., McKinsey & Co., and Monitor Deloitte, among others.

From the areas of investment banking and markets, players such as Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, HSBC, and Morgan Stanley were the second highest recruiters. Goldman Sachs made 11 offers, followed by Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, each making six offers.

Among the PE and VC players, Everstone Capital, Kalaari Capital, and Temasek participated in the placement programme.

Cluster 2 of the summer internship placements will be held on November 1.
